Recently we had the opportunity to sit down and discuss linking strategies with the experts over at all-seo.com
The session provided some great tactics to help site owners increase their presence on the internet. The nice folks over at alta-publishing.com provided a transcript of the discussion and the following text includes excerpts from the conversation.

It is believed again that no one really knows except the search engines, but it has been proven time and time again that new websites they have got to take some time. You can overcome that by an aggressive linking campaign upfront and entering the market with a large enough website with enough parameters that they will say it looks like your theory. So if you enter the market with a couple of handfuls of links from relevant high ranking authority type sites and couple of hundred pages of original type content and your domain has been registered for 10 years, you know, not that I have registered for one year to see what is going to happen and some other things, it is possible to break away from that very, very quickly.
So there are multiple factors but if I am understanding you correctly then for a company that is starting out or perhaps realizing that their website is not working as well as they would like which is probably most companies, you are suggesting they should think about front loading the budget for some serious work on it in the beginning and then switching over to a maintenance budget as can be afforded in the long run. Is that correct?
As opposed to taking that front end loaded budget and spreading it out over 12 or 18 months, you know, you have got to do a return on investment but if you can be making sales next 12 or 18 months, why delay that by just building slowly.
