General Content Directory - Family Friendly!Recently we had the opportunity to sit down and discuss linking strategies with the experts over at all-seo.comThe session provided some great tactics to help site owners increase their presence on the internet. The nice folks over at alta-publishing.com provided a transcript of the discussion and the following text includes excerpts from the conversation. "
We were talking about linking and I have given him some information, then I just wanted to followup because for a true one-way link to be created there always has to be a basic loser in the process.
Someone who is not getting a link back and that is why a large group of websites will give you that D-factor of having someone offset because if site A links to site B and then site B links to site C and then site C just links back to A, all you have really managed to accomplish is one off type reciprocal links. Which is easily detected and probably does not I mean it is waste of time. So you need to break the chain there and have site A link to site B and then site C or D link back to site A so that it is not a complete circle. So what happens is that site C or D that is making that link back to site A has a single outbound link with nothing coming in. So it is kind of like a jigsaw puzzle when you are running the large number of sites. If you have that inventory then everybody is going to taken care of in the long run.
