" Do you think is reasonable for, I am thinking mostly in terms of small and medium size businesses that have developed a habit of paying for paper click advertising and they may be paying hundreds or sometimes even thousands a month on clicks. Is it reasonable and a good idea do you think for them to take part of that budget and allocate it towards a link building strategy with the idea in the long run that they would wean themselves off the advertising or is that something that is in addition to the advertising?

You certainly want to build up your site for your key phrases in the organic or natural terms to get them on the front page but like I tell all of my clients once you get there it is not time to turn off your paper click advertising, I mean you may naturally reduce that budget by people clicking on your natural results anyway but just because one thing is working, it certainly doesn’t mean you should give up another form of advertising. Assuming that is profitable for you. "
