Recently we had the opportunity to sit down and discuss linking strategies with the experts over at all-seo.com

The session provided some great tactics to help site owners increase their presence on the internet. The nice folks over at alta-publishing.com provided a transcript of the discussion and the following text includes excerpts from the conversation.

" I have been working on sort of an alliance of people that are trustworthy, you know, because mostly I do is for clients and so I don�t be anything near blackout type techniques, I just have to be very, very cautious about what happens and so the more people you approach and the larger your lines I think the more everybody is going to win in the long run. What I am finding out with a lot of developers is when you go to their core group of sites they all tend to end up being hostage at the same locale.

You can end up being a problem especially if in the beginning no one knew who is new with that, the same IP range, that is going to be a problem for linking. So you may end up with a guy with 50 sites and they are all in the class C IP range and linking his site, may be more detrimental than it is beneficial. So in fact you really have a lot of different content possibly only with couple of linking opportunities and so that is something that needs to be tracked also. "
